Founded two decades ago, Gray & Walter is continuing to enjoy the process of making our clients dreams become a reality. We were voted Top Chicago Interior Design Firm by American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) and Crain's Chicago Business. Always interactive, our approach is to listen to our client to ensure that the final outcome mirrors their lifestyle. Our goal is for the client to understand that this is a process rather than an event, the process will ultimately allow the clients to express themselves through our collaboration.

We have taken on a multitude of commercial projects such as private clubs, private offices, hotels and financial institutions. Our expansive experience in residential design has taken us from Chicago's Gold Coast, Lincoln Park and Bucktown, throughout the state and as far away as any client wishes to go. We recently completed two homes in California.

Our clientele is very diverse with varying lifestyles, therefore we place great importance on cultivating and maintaining our relationships with them. We travel wherever we are needed and limit our schedule to provide specialized attention. Recent projects include: the interiors of two of the last seven historic mansions on Lake Shore Drive in Chicago; an apartment for a young couple who got married during the design process; two projects on the West Coast, one of the clients has been a client for over 15 years; a beach house on Lake Michigan in Indiana, which is this client's third commission. We also have a history of doing many fine hotels and clubs across the country.
